Thank YOU!!! this worked like a charm, took a little elbow grease to get the key back in but after i got it in it worked perfectly. I put a small piece of black tape on the head of the screw to dampen the sound a bit. FYI if anyone lost the spring (like myself) just order the key you need from ebay, i comes with a spring. Im sure i could've ordered just the spring if i did the research but i was lazy... besides the original key was a bit worn. Thanks again for the tip Truthfrequency, u rock!

AWESOME TO HEAR!!! Mine was broken and held down by tape for about 8 months until I decided to buckle down and just start experimenting. Very happy to hear others don't have to do that!

I'm not sure the size, but you don't need one very long. But it's a drywall screw, not a wood screw. Drywall screws are a bit sharper. I'd say it's probably as long as half your pinkie, maybe a bit smaller.
