Sweden had an active nuclear weapons program during the period 1945 - 1968. Why did it abstain from building an atomic bomb? Dr. Thomas Jonter, Professor in International Relations at Stockholm University, tested various International Relations (IR) theories including Realism, Neorealism, Liberal Institutionalism, and Domestic Reasons, and shares his findings with students of the Monterey Institute of International Studies at a luncheon seminar at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS).
