The 3D Tooth Atlas is a software-based virtual environment that allows users to examine the morphology of the human dentition in full three-dimensional clarity. Each tooth can be rotated in three axes, rendered completely transparent, and studied from all angles as well as from the inside out. This version includes models of all 26 primary teeth with interactive slide bar to reveal their eruption by age; highly annotated segments of the mandible and maxilla (ie, bones, teeth, and pulp) that can be viewed independently or together from any orientation (eg, through the sinus); demonstrated techniques for file cleaning of root canals; a searchable radiographic database with more than 800 cases organized into 31 categories; the official, unabridged edition of the Glossary of Prosthodontic Terms; and a mock National Board exam provided by the ADA. The latest version also features a number of new enhancements, including an expanded library of teeth, now comprising more than 450 interactive three-dimensional models with 200 additional enamel segmented teeth; an expanded pedodontics section with guided test questions; and three-dimensional models of endodontically treated teeth and interactive access preparations.
