CSX Light Engine Move meeting up with a CSX Mixed Freight in Ashland, MA. The last 15 seconds contain the "last Conrail Defect Detector" still in use. This is according to my Son, who I might add is usally right. The end is kind of boring as I wait for the last car to clear the detector but you can fast forward if you like.
Maybe one of the last on this line, but the detectors still announce "Conrail" on the shared assets area lines in Detroit, and New Jersey.

I've got Ashland MA on .mp3 with the word Conrail in it. I've got the Conrail era Stony Point and Orangeburg NY DEDs on .mp3 as well.

North Grafton does not say Conrail.
It is the same message, but with Conrail removed.

Cool vid man. What time does the Q437 usually make its way through Ashland? I"ll be going to school out in Boston starting this fall and I'll be railfanning the SHIT outta the "not-so-photographed" east end of the B&A, and to my understanding this and its counterpart the Q436 are the only two freights besides the intermodals that currently run this far east. I like the detector, to my knowledge its the only one of the "other" CR era voice detectors on the B&A.

If you're talking about detectors that still say Conrail then cross the Stony Point one off your list, I was out on the River Line back in March and "Conrail" wasn't in it. Oh well, at least the CR-era voice is still there.
