Sheriff Downplays Balloon Boy's CNN Interview

In a phone interview with Fox News, a half-hour before he was to hold a scheduled press conference a day after the Falcon Heene situation, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden says he has reason to believe that "this is a legitimate incident and not a hoax." However, he says it would be "in the best interest" to hold an interview with the Heene family to "clarify" comments made by Falcon on CNN that his father instructed him "we did this for the show."

The Sheriff added that young Falcon's bouts of nausea the morning after the CNN interview are "appropriate for the circumstances."

The sheriff did a good job.

They didn't want to spook the family until they had proof so they pretended to be "on their side." They told the father to come by the station and pick up his balloon. That way, they were able to separate the family and interview them one at a time. They did a good job.

i know it's absolutely retarded news, but the fact is, millions of tax payers money was spent on the case, and people will be outraged about this being a hoax, so they have a right to know about it. At the same time we don't want to give the fuckers any of their so desired media attention, but hopefully it they will recieve no benefit from it at all.
