May 1980, Manchester, it's Sunday morning and The Chords are in town to do the telly. To work, record backing track, it's live 'n' real, better than the single, get the kids in, then one take for the cameras and away to another gig, no time to mess around. Finally that wall of sound, see and hear the boys in their glory... a truly great band!
great band the chords up the mods

For info
The Chords have reformed with all 4 original members (So have Purple Hearts and Secret Affair amongst others), doing a UK tour next month (August 2010) and have a new single 'Another Thing Coming' out on 9th August! I've heard it and it's pretty damned good (Was on a BBC radio Newcastle programme 'Beat Surrender' last week. Link is still on iPlayer I think. Single is on about 1hr30 mark, Buddy is talking for a few minutes before this too).

To whoever said you can't dance to it...Err yes you can, In the same way you can dance to My Generation, You Really Got Me, Hey Girl etc etc... Not all music Mods like has to be soul. The Chords were ace. Real Mods, more so than The Who were! (Who were dressed as Mods by Pete Meaden). Punks in parkas...Bol***ks!

They changed the original "wha the f*ck" to a safer "what the hell".
