Dilbert and Milton fall asleep as Polly watches

I DID NOT DYE THE CHICKS. The owner of the petshop did. And they are alive, happy and healthy. They were released in the land around my grandparents house, free to roam in the farm/forest area with the 100+ chickens and rooster already there. Even though they are both males, they follow each other and HATE being away from each other. They rock. PLUS, ABOUT THEM: I managed to save them from a crappy pet shop where they had them all under blistering heat and cramped together.

ABOUT THEIR COLOR:
They used vegetable dye, so no they were not dipped in paint. At first I thought the same, but this is not the case. Still, I don't approve the dying thing; I really like their natural color. Also, it causes too many dumb kids to get them... which usually means death.

They were alive for more than two years. One of them died last year due to eating some dead rodent at my grandparents house. The other is alive and he is close to THREE years old. So yes, they die quickly if they are bought by little careless kids. But I actually care for my animals.

So awesome that you saved those little boys. In the egg industry, the male chicks are killed at birth, since they are useless, or if they are lucky are sold as entertainment during easter, like this. Good work, these are too lucky little boys :)
