Sonikdude told people not to play it, did I listen? No. But I wish I did.

  • Why didn't they utilize the engine and sound of Sonic Advance? It's closer to the first's then this one. This is is screwed up and things don't even stop you. You can be speeding and then jump, hitting an object, and when your jump clears it you keep speeding.

The GBA isn't that off with screen size. SMW's intro has 14 16x16 wooden blocks stacked vertically and GBA, 10. However, they should have done an optional zooming out with the SNES like sprite maniplation ability.

    DKC shrunk its gfx.

  • I never understood the appeal of Sonic CD. I mean it's a great game, but I would put it just a little above Sonic 2. Sonic 3& Knuckles is imoa the best sidescrolling sonic game.

    Agreed on that as well!

  • @silenceofthehills agreed. It only makes me hate Sonic Genesis more. Too bad he didn't do anymore work on it.

  • @animegamingdude

I remember that homebrew port of the first level of sonic! It was way better!

  • @silenceofthehills yeah, but they just had to be lazy and pull another Sonic 06 on us. Sonic Retro user Stealth proved that Sonic 1 can work on the GBA.

  • @animegamingdude

If that's true, then they have less excuse, as the advance engine was already complete when it came to its physics. All they had to do was tweak it and add different sprite and tile graphics, also altering the map. They also should have kept the mode 7 style sprite rotation for going up ramps and loop de loops.

  • @silenceofthehills that's exactly what they did. They used the Sonic Advance engine. But they made the game in a time period of 2 weeks.

  • shanesclayland I agree sega messed up the genesis one is the spikes and the spindash but the game on gba and genesis is cool

  • Ahhh. A perfectly good game on the genisis ruined.

  • This is what happens when you try to squeze a Genesis game onto a Gamboy. They could have just re-made this for the Xbox or something but noooo... Can't anyone make a good game for handheld systems?

  • this game laggs for no reason and they screwed up the music
