  • Is there a dude at the start of the song telling John to take his shirt off!!!!?????

  • haha...yeah, that dude is me (the guy taking the video) ... of course i was saying it in jest, but the girls around me didn't want to think it was a joking request!

  • I like his new incarnation but there's nothing like the trusting innocence of his early years, when he rally was just a boy...a wonderful boy!

  • @oliverandm see i think this is waaay catchier than 83. not that i don't like 83, i just love this song

  • wow. i can't believe i JUST found this! its amazing!!1

  • My bet is he chose 83 instead of this :) It's a really nice song, but 83 deals alot with the same lyrically, and it's just that tad better

  • @giannisomagas

Exactly. Actually i saw the clip of him playing Half of my Heart here on YouTube, it's from some american morning show. He says something as perfect as John can say it: "talking to find out if you have something to say, is a bad way of finding out that you had nothing to say" - true he has said stuff he shouldn't have but everybody makes mistakes, and he went on to say "i goofed" so he admitted it! Not alot of hollywoods big egos would admit mistakes

  • why is this song so unpopular

  • too bad this didn't make it on room for squares... :(

  • I would REALLY REALLY love to have this version on CD! Does anyone have this in WAV or MP3?

  • @mbasketcballb

he used fender vibrolux early on. but this looks really early so im not sure what he was using this early

  • @wannabefun I know he at least was using Two Rock cabs with a Fender combo for the Try! tour. Heavier Things sounds very Fendery, though. He began using mainly Two Rock for Continuum and beyond.

  • he's cool in this video.. Not that arrogant bastard he can be nowadays. Still a fan anyhow, but I love the innocence and his sense of humour. He was really the-boy-next-door then, and it suits him(: great song by the way!
