Why Is The Microwave Show Ending?

Jon explains why his flagship web-show, "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?" is coming to an end in its current format. After 340 episodes, and four years of bi-weekly uploads, the program was becoming stale and repetitive, and rather than run the concept into the ground and kill it's appeal, Jory and Jon decided to semi-retire the show while it was still popular. Although special bonus episodes will still be produced a few times a year, this shift will allow Jon to refocus his efforts on other projects he's more passionate about.

Born in February 1986, Jonathan Paula is a professional YouTuber and creator of the hit web series, "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?". In April 2006 he founded Jogwheel Productions, a new media production company that specializes in web video. Jon graduated from Emerson College in 2008 with a degree in Television Production / Radio Broadcasting. He currently lives in Rockingham, NH with his wife Rebecca.

I actually recently went back through and watched all the old episodes. I still miss the show, though I do understand why you ended it. And the only reason I'm not subscribed to any of you guys anymore is because my sub box was getting too full, and I couldn't keep up with any of your stuff anymore. Plus lots of other stuff I just wanna watch more. No offense meant in any way by saying that, your channels are all still awesome. At least I'd guess as much, but I'd also guess I'm right about that.

I'm going to miss the show, but I fully respect your decision, it's much better that the show concludes with a bang than to live long and starve out. I would hate to see another good series such as TMS continue and turn into a recycled, stale, repetitive pile of crap like the CoD games.
