@eboing You're absolutely correct, Bin Laden's death by is the end of Terrorism. I do agree that the celebration is rather awkward. However I'm not surprise that the youth is celebrating the event. We have to remember that the youth experienced 9/11 as children and to not only hear but see that people around the world hated them. Imaging what goes through a child's mind. My analogy is, the bandage came off but the scar is still there. These kids are celebrating the taking off of the bandage.

Terrorism has been a huge part of American life since the '70s and Bin Laden has been a part of the public consciousness since the WTC bombing of 1993. It's awesome that we got Bin Laden, and the Seals are amazing, but It wasn't a watershed moment in the history of terrorism -- we still clearly have a long way to go. These parties were just creepy as f*ck, and I still wonder who was behind organizing them.
