WLS: 7 week update and FIRST fill!

I'm in the pre-stages, have to have 6 months diet first, drats!!! seems like forever. Just watching everyone else gives me hope, but I'm patient. (I guess i don't have a choice)

It actually goes by pretty fast. It's been 6 months since I made the decision and time has flown. Good luck with the diet--are you doing lapband or bypass?

I meant no offense to nurses--I respect them greatly and many of the women in my family are nurses. However, wouldn't want "just a doctor" to do my fill either-I wanted the surgeon that did the surgery and knows where he put it to do my fill. Trust me, based on my past experiences, I'd much rather have a nurse give me a shot or do an IV than a doctor-no offense to doctors. It's just that I want the surgeon for fills-not just a doctor or just a nurse. Hope I didn't offend any of our great nurses.

I haven't decided between the band and bypass. Actually i'm on the fence, trying to weigh the pros and cons. I think i messed up on my diet this month, and hope it doesn't mess up my chances of approval. But i have faith in myself, (and motivation thanks to you and the youtube community).

not yet......waiting on insurance approval....did you set a goal for the amount of weight loss...every1 keep asking me but im doing it for the medical problems i have...now taking 8 pills and insulin every nite...nothing else has worked for me....
