Hey punk, get a life, Chinese police are WAY humane and down to earth than any American or Western cops. Trust me I've lived in both countries and the way most police treat you if your reasonable is amazingly generous. In the US, you'd get only one response: and thats the cop pulling out his gun.

This cop is doing his job right. Illegal hawking shall be summoned. Most of the patrol police are unarmed, and there are so many cases of police being beaten brutally by civilians, or neighbour/villagers of the confronted.

Freedom to trade is god given. You cannot force people to die because they don't have a license to live from the government.

When China finds a way to control its population we can begin to talk about comparisons.
It is a well documented fact that Shanghai women are Shrews and many experts will confim this .
The cop is simply frustrated because his wife is treating him like a slave at home and he takes it out on the vendor because he can tell that the vendor is getting it regularly.
