Mikael's death vocals are the only ones I've ever liked. I'm not a death metal fan in general, I admit. I've heard other death metal singers and I always thought they sounded hokey, often to the point that it's unintentionally funny. They sound like Cookie Monster or a toilet flushing, instead of a demon or whatever they're going for. Mikael's death vocals sound like a goddamned earthquake, and, at the same time, I can mostly understand what he's saying. I've never heard anyone else do that.

Mikael you have one of the best Death Vocals in the industry. I hope you do some more Opeth style hardcore death metal in the future. But regardless Opeth will always be my favorite band of all time!
