<3 always in heart, in mind, in soul, always Remembered... R.I.P Rory x

Yes it's the title track from his album "Calling Card".
-
To be precisely... it's the recording from the 1976 concert in cologne, recorded in the WDR studio. I'am at least quite shure... It is my favourite recording of this song!

It's "Calling Card" ;)

Anyone know the name of the track after 35 seconds ?

Sweety, he was even bigger than Clapton, known all over Europe and America and Asia. What did you think? he sold 5 milion copies of the Album with Taste, and that was only the beginning. Maybe he was not mainstream (I mean known in mainstream, not that his music was mainstream, far from it) but wellknown by a lot of fans. Btw, glad you did discover him too.

I can't tell you how jealous I am that you even got to see him "steveomedia" and anyone else. I discovered Rory Gallagher less than a week ago and I've been spending hours on youtube trying to find as much footage of him as I can find.
In some ways I regret that Rory was never as big as the likes of Clapton (he deserved to be), but at the same time, I'm sort of glad he wasn't. His performances seem so honest and personal, far removed from Hollywood and "Showbiz".

Very interesting.

Lay off the meths, dude.
Man...
Saying I miss Rory is an understatement. His performances left your body sweating and your face hurting from smiling all night. His slide guitar playing was off the hook. Rory Gallagher was one of a kind and truley contributed to haminity. There was such unity and joy and his concerts. Watching old live footage makes you wanna cry...I miss those good times.

The Irish version of Buddy Guy. An explosive talent who always gave 200%. I'll never forget seeing him live in 1972. How many artists would perform five encores on one night?
