I think the song could be about alot of things, though two things are odvious. Alchahol and war. "Take me under your liquid embrace". I think it's about just you know the woes and sorrow of life, past things that can't be forgiven, maybe war crimes of some sort. But at the end the guy in the video gets called back into service so maybe he's getting plasterd cause he dosn't want to go back, or maybe just wants to die.
