where were the two flash units set up? what flashes were they? what diffusers did you use? etc

I do that with my cybersyncs just put the setting on ur camera to high speed sync and u get the same results this is just a sales pitch! u can do the same thing also with those chinise pocketcheesers....

Your camera native sync speed not 1/300sec its 1/200 sec

And juncags : yes it is.  Instead of the ST-E2 the pocket wizard Mini TT1 is doing the “hypersync” functionality (aka high-speed sync) on radio instead of infrared.
