I have read somewhere that green arrow is taking the place of Flying Scotsman in the workshop in the near future

  • Nice!

  • looks like shese pulling out of froghall station going nortbound to cheddleton. was lucky enought to ride the footplate.and experience the 550 yrd tunnel. at the churnet valley railway.

  • How great to be able to say this! I wish I could....

  • Agreed - Green Arrow is a real nice loco and deserves better from the NRM following it's cylinder crack bad news. I echo others comments on youtube - NRM if u are hearing this - new cylinder casting please! And yes - I do realise what that entails and the cost, but if enough people want it, it will happen hopefully.

  • Fired a few V2s,back in the fifties,on frieght trains,as they were used on both, pulled well sounded great, similar to O2s with larger wheels

  • V2's such nice engine and green arrow is simply superb

  • Thanks for this, although it makes me very envious haha! Where he opens up the regulator and the subsequent response from the loco is magic!

  • If I cud have a footplate experience day on any engine now i wud chose Green Arrow
