Great routine, however I do believe as well, that the Brainwave effect published in your "Classic Magic of M. V." is better and her reaction to this one even gives proof. Cause after you show her 8S as an odd backed card, she's simply blown away, but continuing the effect with the 2S eliminates the possibility to her, that her thought of card was odd backed to begin with so, to quote you, Kills the whole premise of the "Brainwave" effect.

Hi Michael. I totally in love with 'Brainwave My Way' and I agree, as you stated on your DVD set no.1, that it`s worth the price of the whole set. However, how the hell can I use that as an opener? It`s nearly impossible to come up with a stronger routine after that ;)

But it works so great to start in new deck order so I can go right into Tamariz stack. Wonderful ! You´re one of the greatest living magicians today.

@sigmashot She also reactied with dissapointment the the effect wasnt real, and ending clean is only important to magicians, magicians obsess over this too much, and he could very well have flipped the double over, placed the odd backed card in his pocket and been clean.

@sigmashot The first fase is a prediction effect, this is one of the strongest magic effects there is because it might actualy be real, the spectator truly believes their was no tricery before fase two, which was a magicial effect of a changing one card into another which will get an emotional reaction but no one ever realy believes the card realy changed by magic, the second fase turns the whole performance into a card trick, where if he stoped at the first fase it would have been REAL magic.

Here are my thoughts... one advantage of phase 2 is ending clean. She reacted strongly to the 8S being in his pocket... I don't know how anchored she was on the idea that the red card was the 8S. But it does seem that there is a weak point in the routine... working back she might realize "it was the 2S all along..." But as an amateur, I don't know whether or not it is important that she can't figure it out after the fact.
