These are the components i used to make my fangs.
When using the acryllic, use outdoors or in a well ventilated area. (sorry for the text version, I'll try to get a video version of this out.

Procedure:
If using an alginate or other gel-type mold, You must hold it in your mouth for about 3-5 minutes.
For the modeling clay, just bite into it and check to see if it makes a good representation.

Now, place that in a disposable cup. Mix equal parts of the two part casting chemicals in a separate cup. *As soon as they touch, you have about 60 seconds to mix and pour. This takes about 5 minutes to reach the peak of its reaction. I recommend allowing the mold to set for 10-15 minutes.

Now, peel away the cup and remove the negative mold from the casting. For the clay mold, tear of a piece of clay and use it to stick to the last bits that are stuck in small crevices.

For the acryllic, mix some powder with a couple of drops of the liquid. (i guessed at the amounts I used). you want to make the teeth a little bigger that the final product. Mix the two until just after it becomes solid. *HURRY WITH THIS PART! you have a very short time (~10 seconds) from the time the acryllic turns from malleable to too tough to mold. Let this set for about 10 minutes, because it can be warped if you mess with it before it sets. (Pkus it gets really hot)

Now use sandpaper or a dremel (preferred) to shape the tooth down to a realistic look. Leave the little parts that fit between the neighboring teeth; these help make a seal and "lock in" the fake teeth.

Good luck! Message me if you need any more clarification.

  • gosh this video makes me dizzy..

can't you just make your camera steady??

  • @crapcracker42 I had just gotten the camera not long before that and hadn't gotten my tripod yet. Plus for some reason, I couldn't get the anti-shake function to work. I shake a lot normally as you can tell. Sorry about that.

  • you know that acrylic liquid and powder is toxic right?

  • @dspetz1 True, just make sure to mess with the acrylic in a well ventilated area and use gloves. Once the chemicals set, they shouldn't be toxic. Or, so it seems. I may be wrong.

  • I have braces...any ideas?

  • @NostaligicBlackFrost Yeah, try the wax material they make. You partially melt it in hot water and form it on your teeth. It's just wax, so it won't damages the braces.
