  • 2-3 was to soon typical 700R4 is it a 4L60E?

  • @DRNEGOLICIS If it was a 4L60E it would be easy to fix. It's a 700R4.

I need to redo it all with the thing in Drive instead of OD.

I didn't know the other shift points were different; thought it just locked out 4th.

  • your trans am looks just like mine inside

  • @n00bcak35 You got a column mounted tach too?

  • Hey Im having the same problem how did u get it fixed?

  • Not exactly but I was working on the shift points with it running in OD instead of DRIVE. You can get a governor weight and spring kit to move them above the 5200 stock shifts. See email.

  • What's the problem? Fuck with the governor, or shift it manually. End of story

  • look into a transgo shift kit. Transgo2&3 works awesome in that transmission, Full Manual ! it works awesome.

700R4 is the same thing as a 4L60E, only different valvebody, and 2nd accumulator.

  • @supervisor42 Hehe, I don't own a Honda, I own a T-bird :P (I just got it! :D)

  • @corvettels9 awesome show and all, but i always thought that car sounded kind of homo.... but then i remembered all machines are female... now i'm just very confused as i have over complicated it. (like i always do)

  • @chinnerz2 Yeah...you see, they had this thing in the '80's, called Knight Rider, and in it, they had this Trans Am called K.I.T.T....haha

  • install a transgo shift kit in that bad boy. it not already.

    TRANSGO 2&3 works best.

  • Edlebrock has an offset so if you use one you have to get the edlebrock bracket which moves two different ways . I have one I just dont like the three different adjustments of which two can move. If it was a stick car I would no doubt use the Edlebrock. The older Q Jet is from a 68 Vette and is close to the same specs but better yet it was on one of my shevles.

  • @215jami

    sorry, what problem?

  • @tpvalley I had that kind of problem from going to an edlebrock, I am now going back to a older Q jet and switching out the butterfly rod from the stock electric Q jet and use the original bracket. If you get it wrong after awhile the trans fries.
