taken from the forthcoming 'Haunt the Upper Hallways CD & 7" on Home Assembly music. Video hastily put together by R V Adams on 9th July 2009. Footage taken in Pudsey and Fulneck
this video has evoked in me memories that I have never lived! or that I lived in another life ... it seems a little bit absurd, unreal ... but the sensation I had was just real. It's like the feeling of being awake in a world totaly distinct from the one where my body lives.
It made me feel that I had left behind all my fears and pains (in the other world) and also represented the beginning of a new start...of another reason for joy and hope that came to me without disclosing its identity ...
Richard, the previous comment was from an old friend of mine in Minnesota. Here's what another friend from Seattle said about the video: "Very nice. It makes me wistful, but for what I don't exactly know."
It reminds me of a certain time of day, beginning about this time of year, when the light has a quality that turns the world into a sepia toned, then black and white, photo. Time slows down. At a slightly different time each afternoon, this happens. I always catch my breath a little and wonder what it recalls for me. I'm never quite sure, but it was precious and it's irretrievably gone. I see stills of various things... I've never had music for this time of day. Now I do. Incredibly impressive.
images, music, everything is just too new, and paradoxically so familiar to me ...
enormously impressive.
