There's no silver bullet to making your shows more engaging, but you do have to change things around and constantly be thinking about what can keep your audience interested. I spoke with Shaun McIver who heads up Thomson Reuters' Global Multimedia Business. McIver manages video platforms for webcasting, online video platforms, and their website solutions. McIver's team produces thousands of videos every year. Here are some of McIver's recommended tips for higher engagement: * Spend more time learning about your audience. * Shift from audio to video. People stick around longer for video webcasts then audio webcasts. * Change the format of the shows to drive higher engagement. Thomson Reuters has found more success with roundtable format webcasts than just talking heads. * Jazz up the content with broll and lower thirds.
Always be thinking about how to make the content more engaging.
