@MrMariodave Actually, that might not be true (it's definitely not confirmed), but then again, Tony Palmer lied about owning the original tapes. When this movie was out on DVD, a sticker claimed it came from those tapes, but that was also false, so this isn't proving the tapes are still around either.

I did find out that the movie is out on Netflix, and it looks and sounds like a really high quality transfer from what might have been the original 35mm interpositive.

@Jethrofinger I agree. I'd love to actually see a transfer of the actual videotape instead of a videotape of a telecine of a theatrical print (ahem... Tony Palmer... Voiceprint DVD...).

In the very least, they should make a fresh transfer from the original 35mm negative, which apparently was used to strike new positives when the film was re-released in theatres in 2009 or so.
