I'm glad that people seems to spread this movie, it's definately one of Norways best movies ever. Also one of the few ever to be Oscar nominated :) A interesting fact about the author of the book the movie is based upon, Ingvar Ambjørnsen is that he himself suffers from mental illness and depression. Despite of this his books has a deep heartfelt warmt and humor that shines through in all his writings :) This movie carry his work over to the screen in a masterfully way.

Indeed it is, one of the few films from Norway ever Oscar nominated :)

It's not quite as "dark" as the book, as the author put it himself. But still a brilliant movie.
Four books have been written about Elling, three of them have been turned into movies. This one, based on the third book, is arguably the best.

Hi. I like what I have seen so far. If it is anything like as good as the book (Beyond the Great Indoors) I will enjoy it very much.
Thank you Wowbagger for this piece of information. I find that interesting. The author of this great story is mentally ill!

I'm glad you picked such a fine movie. But you talk to much, tell us where its' from and a 4 sentence brake down.

Thank you for watching the International film club, and I do respect your honest opinion however, I need to comment from time to time to be sure that the viewers can connect the dots, specially that I don't show the whole film.
If you see any interesting movies, please let me know.
