If there is NOT any god, then there ALSO is neither any god in whom anyone does have the ability to believe - nor is there any god in whom anyone does have the ability to not believe.

Here is why I see that distinction as being a significant one and one that is worthy of clarification:
While it is NOT necessarily for any believed to be existent thing and/or being to exist in order for it to be believed that there IS such a thing and/or being, it IS necessarily so that ONLY that which actually DOES exist has both the ability to be believed IN and also the ability to be not believed in.

You commented, "...it's actually important to emphasise that atheists don't believe in _any_ god ..."
What theists do is believe there TO BE a god (or gods), but that is not the same thing as believeing IN god (or gods). And, there is more than what is only linguistic difference between believing there TO BE a god and believing IN god.

I don't recall my ever having BECOME an atheist. Insofar as a I am aware , I have lacked having the belief of there being any number of god(s) for as long as I have existed. So, rather than my having become an atheist, it seems to me that I instead simply have not ever bean a theist.

Nothing can be unnatural, i.e., supernatural. Therefore, homosexual behavior may be termed unacceptable by some groups or societies and acceptable by others. But homosexualism can never be unnatural, no matter how many humans spout such nonsense. And in my video titled, "Atheist Admits Jesus Was Right" I point out that moral responsibility is really irrelevant to the issue. Plus atheists don't believe in God for the same reason Xians don't believe in Peter Pan. See: Fad, Fashion, & Dancing to...

"that their deity is in no way being specially singled out for disbelief."
Excellent point.
i find it mystifying that some people confuse atheism with anti-theism (if that is a word).
atheism translates to 'without belief' literally.
most atheists don't hate God at all, as you mentioned. why waste the time hating something that is not a part of your life? the thought is ridiculous!!!

Good Video! Good arguments. **Sorry for the two stars- I meant to give you 3!
I respect your opinions... but I just want to mention that it is offensive to Christians, when you are debating with them, to refer to your Atheism as a lack of belief in "gods." We take silent offense to that, because if you are talking to US- who believe in one God, why are you referring to "gods." I know that as a gentleman you are aware of people's sensitivities and I commend you for that. Thanks!

3. If I could say things in a way in which no one became offended, without compromising the meaning of what i wanted to say, i'd do it. Unfortunately, saying that i don't believe in God is already enough to offend some people, so i've resigned myself to trampling on people's delicate feelings ;) Also, to me, it's actually important to emphasise that atheists don't believe in _any_ god to make it clear to christians that their deity is in no way being specially singled out for disbelief.
