@Dualhammers It's hard to ignore someone making an analogy between pay wages and sexual abuse.

@doggieGZ You pretty much ignored my previous point.

The republichristian party of America is an episiotomy gone wrong. Now it is just an open wound causing the rest of the body unbelievable pain and embarrassment.
We need a obstetrician to get in there, clean it out, and sew it up.

Our President has finally acknowledged that the true enemy lies within: McConnell, Boehner, Cantor. Economic terrorists. Anti-American liars. Stay strong, Mr President. Intelligent Americans are on your side

@Dualhammers My point is that pretty much everyone wishes they got paid more. Even people who are paid well wish they got paid more. But Americans are far less appreciative of what they currently have than newer immigrants who come in finding jobs. Americans feel a greater sense of entitlement than they should. They feel like they deserve more money for the work they do. And that's the kind of attitude which puts an economy in the crapper.

@doggieGZ It may be true they are grateful but that doesn't make it right. The logic that only perspective justifies it I consider it be false.
A woman growing up in a sexually abusive family may be grateful to end up with an only verbally abusive husband because looking back she sees how much better she has it now. Never in my life, however, would I call either of those states just or good. Yet it seems that by your logic she has no right to complain.

@Dualhammers You bring up a good point about that, which I can respect. But what people need or want in order to attain that happiness differs greatly amongst Americans and immigrants. There's lots of immigrants (i.e. Mexicans) who also make minimum wage but consider it an absolute joy and blessing to be in this country with that kind of living. Coming from where they did is a reminder of how much better off we are than most outside nations. The American dream is most alive with immigrants.
The best thing a young 20-ish person can do is move to an emerging country. Why sit back and stay in the US and inheret all the bad mistakes??? its not the young US citizens

Yes, American kids don't want those jobs... and I suppose we can applaud the do anything attitude of people who come to this country.. .but the problem is those jobs SHOULD PAY MORE. That is the problem. Americans don't want those jobs because they are grossly underpaid, and I don't think we should live a society where the virtue of being a hard-worker means you take jobs that cause you to live a life poverty and deprivation.
