Thank you so much for these contact reviews!

Circle lenses are not cheaper. $15 a pair and 3 pairs = $45 which is almost the same price as Freshlook ($43). I presume some knows their prescription and orders it thru Geo. I had corneal abrasion from wearing fake color contacts from a Korean store on a military installation. Never again!!

Im an ex-circle lense wearer, and im an "ex" for a reason. I wore circle lenses that were around 30 dollars, and i wore it every. single. day. for at least 7 hours. I cleaned them and took care of it properly and i knew how to put them on. despite all that, my eye sight became terrible. from my experience, not only is cleaning important, but how often and how long you wear them makes a huge impact. i just wish someone wouldve told me that a while ago. DONT GO THROUGH WHAT I DID!

So when you say circle lens you mean full eye lens? (stuff that covers both iris and white part) not the little lenses - ones that cover just the iris?

where do you buy your lenses

@mshappygolucky its also why circle lenses are so much cheaper... bc it's not FDA approved, it doesn't need to pay for the licensing or w.e
its a larger risk with circle lenses bc the material is thicker and not as porous as fda approved lenses, so it is more likely to not allow enough oxygen to your eye = poor eye health. also, circle lenses are much much much cheaper. for example you spend $20 for a pair of geo lenses that will last you one year. while you have to spend $200-400 for a year supply of lenses sold my your optometrist.

@amandapandachu Thanks for sharing! You are correct - circle lenses are made of thicker material, which causes them to be less "breathable" than regular lenses. That's why it generally isn't recommended to wear them for more than 4-6 hrs per day. You are also correct that geo says their lenses can be worn up to 1 yr with proper care, which would make the cost much lower than regular lenses, but it is up to you to choose how long you wear them. I personally would not wear them for a full year.

Was the news article from CTV News ? I remember seeing Michelle Phan's Lady Gaga Bad Romance look in the report.

@elaineluu Like many news pieces, many different papers / newscasts will repeat similar stories on trending topics. Therefore, it's hard to trace where the original article was from. The earliest I was able to find was from the New York Times, but even then, I'm not sure if it originated there.
