  • @datguyyo Yep. I think that ad was done by Art Clokey; it resembles his 1950s Gumby animation.

"Animation Comedy" by Spencer Moore can also be heard at 3:42

  • I didn't know they had wings back in the 1950s,the lady eating what looked like a Buffalo wing in her car.My Father said the drive in movie theater was open all year when he was a teenager. In the 1950s, I asked him if they had car heaters for them like this ad said, he said no they had to turn on the car or bring blankets.I wonder if that drizzle guard really worked? Free TV? HA! Not anymore baby.

  • Drizzle guard is da bomb, for shizzle (as they would say in the 50's). ><

  • Lots and Lots of Memories of the Drive-In....GOSH, I wish they would bring them back...sure miss loading the car up and hurrying to the drive-in to get a good parking space...as a kid loved to swing on the swings they had right up under the screen....I bet if they brought them back they'd make millions!

  • I am hooked on these vintage ads. WTF. =)

  • I wish they still had Ad's like these. They make me want the product a lot!

  • honolulu DRIV INN theaters had thee same way but i miss all that stuff lol haha

  • A church ad in the drive-in, "Everything Is Terrible" anyone? LOL

Dig the instrumental at 3:13. 8:37,Flash forward to present day, we have to worry about the internet meter monster.

  • Wow! 9 minutes of intermission time. I'll be back in a minute after I got some popcorn, candy, hot dogs, and an ice cold pepsi.

  • Back when they used real butter on popcorn, not the truck axle grease they have now...snif
