Thank you! someone had to say it! and for the record u can use a Jackolanter pumkin you just have to make sure you press all the extra water out caue they tend to have more water in the flesh and there not as sweet but will still do it with a little extra work but worth the fresh ness you cant get in a can or in my case you cant get in germany :-P go figure

Stephanie? Are you nuts? You actually use CANNED pumpkin and call it homemade?
I'll give you a tip that will blow your mind ... Buy an old fashioned pumpkin (not an orange jackolantern one) Cut it in half and stick one half in the microwave and zap it until it's good and steamy.. scrape out the pumpkin ... MMMMMM .. My wife won't let me give out the rest of the recipe :)
