Prokofiev Toccata in D minor Op. 11 (Claire Huangci)

This was taken down by youtube for some reason, it was on yoshmaninoff's account before. Out of pure luck, I found that I had downloaded it a long time ago. I hope no one minds me re-uploading it, as it is, for me, the best interpretation of this piece despite the bad audio quality.

Very slightly faster, yes, if you actually time it.. but Claire's version just sounds faster to me. I like it more.

This is a performance to really listen to, and hear the writing and texture. It avoids many of the traps that result in hash, percussive playing that merely creates a wall of sound. Truly energized and eloquent.

Trop rapide, cela en devient ridicule et affreux. Prokofiev aurait détesté. Il jouait lui-même sa Toccata à l'allure "allegro", non pas "prestissimo".
