I cryed when i found this song..my step dad is over in iraq right now and it is hard im 14and me and my mom are home wating for him to return he has been gone for 15 months..he tells us we are his Girls and we are the best thing that ever happend to him.

Seeing your loved one get on that bus knowing that it will be 12 months before you get to see them again...there are no words to explain the pain

im 14 and my dads gone all the time with the general. My mom and i arnt even aloud to know were he goes. I hope he comes home soon

so many forget those that are at home.

We held our breaths waiting for our loved one to come home. He made it safely, physically anyway, back to the states. Unfortunately for his 5-year-old daughter, 2-year-old son and 8-month-old son he did not make it back mentally!

Three months after returning from his third tour in Iraq in six years he committed suicide by cop.

He left behind a little girl who is devastated by the loss of her best friend, her Daddy and two sons who will not remember him!

this song makes me cry every time. it reminds me of my son who has had to pay the ultimate price that any child has ever had to pay, yet he is so beyond proud of his dad who died protecting the people and country he loved most the USA
