Now Whitney could have been in the studio when the tracks were laid down cuz Cissy often brought her 2 sessions she did including those with Aretha Franklin but again Whitney Houston did NOT sing backup on Chaka's 1978 version of I'm Every Woman.

My fellow Whitney fans sorry but Whitney DID NOT sing background on Chaka original "I'm Every Woman" her mother did. All you have 2 do is look at the original liner notes of Chaka's "Chaka" album Whitney is listed NO WHERE on the album as pointed out Whitney sound background on Chaka 1980 Naughty Album. There is no way Cissy would have let Whitney sang backup & not get credit 4 it & neither would Chaka cuz Chaka is known 2 take care of those who work 4 her. so guys Whitney is not on the song.

@mistroplease Whitney NEVER sang on the original version ! Cissy Houston , Hamish Stuart & Chaka did the background vocals! Whitney sang on Chaka's second solo lp Naughty !
