Peter Jackson's pictures, Ralph Bakshi's soundtrack from 1978, my cut. See it in HIGH QUALITY!!!
"Prologue - A long expected party."
My first question was: Is it possible to use Jackson's material like an editor and put it together with Ralph Bakshi's soundtrak? If it is, I will have nearly 12 hour of film for Bakshi's 2 hour movie. That's a lovely bunch of raw film.
The beginning was easy, because it is told in a similar way, by a narrator (no lip synch) and then Bilbo uses the same words in both films and does the same things. It should be harder further on...

But Cate Blanchett was only 9 years old when the soundtrack was recorded. I don't think she could make it that powerful in those days... :)

Why not? But I don't understand.
I haven't credit any one in particular. But in my foreword I write that it is a tribute to the original movies and their makers. That means all of the makers in both movies.
