  • We have this book and I absolutely love it. As a Marine wife of 8 years, and as a Mom for the past 6.5, this book and video spoke the truth in volumes of the military life style. Good byes are too frequent, and this book can aid our children in helping to express emotions felt, but not understood by our little ones. Thank you for writing this book. Our entire family enjoys reading it, even when Daddy is home.

  • This story is the most heart warming story I've ever read, it is so moving. No matter how many times I read it- it still gets me teary eyed, every time! such a powerful healing tool for military families, I believe every child with a parent serving should have this book at home!

  • This is a beautiful video for a lovely and heartfelt book about a sweet lilttle girl who misses her Daddy. I think it could help all kids who face separation of any kind. It would make a wonderful addition to a child's Easter basket!

  • All children facing separation from a parent would love this beautiful and heartwarming book - especially children in military families! I love that the story gives children ideas for creative ways to feel close and connected to the absent parent and there is even a page at the end for parents that offers wonderful insights and suggestions to help children cope. The precious illustrations and the heartwarming story make this one of the best gifts you can give to a child AND to their parents!

  • I reviewed this little book, I think it's one of the best. It is definitely helpful to children of service men and women, but also other parents that must be away from their children for work or other reasons. Notice that the price is only six-ninety-five, there's nobody making a mint off it, the author truly wants to help children that must face such difficult times. Lily, the real one, is her granddaughter. Please help spread the word.

  • I bought this for my 5-year old granddaughter whose father is in the Navy. It's a warm, wonderful story with a positive, reinforcing message. She's asked me to read it to her several times and it's helping her deal with her own deployment separation issues (her daddy is currently deployed aboard a US Navy destroyer). The illustrations are top-notch too. An all-around excellent book.
