Junko Yoshioka Spring 2006 Eveningwear Collection

Bridal and Evening wear Designer Junko Yoshioka partnered with world renowned photographer Peter Beard to debut a stunning evening wear collection for Spring 2006 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The runway show featured a photo exhibit by fashion photographer Peter Beard as well as other artistic photographers who shot the collection in abstract and unique ways. Junko paid homage to her bridal aesthetic with beautiful detailing in her gowns. Described by Women's Wear Daily as "a collection of dramatic dresses" the collection was inspired by Morocco, one of the designer's favorite places. Stylist Sandrine Fouilhoux created added drama with diamond, ruby, gold and other semi precious stones as head pieces. 2" paper eyelashes designed by Romero Jennings for MAC cosmetics, made the models appear ethereal and beautiful. A live percussionist also added to the Moroccan theme for the collection.
