Second Life, Second Identity

Learning how to run a nifty peice of software and get good results is apparently harder for traditional television journalists than simply pointing the camera at the screen. That, and they might not know how to edit together digital video with their cam-work in post *shrug*

It is a mystery to me why someone would want to be a banal stripper or look like a pimp.

Why not take advantage of creating a real unique SL identity. For that I like SL so much.

MOST people try to be something 'sexy'... the thing is, people's concept of sex is usually 'slutty', 'nasty' and 'cheap'. Porn is the big money maker online, well... in SL, sex products and services are second only to land. I think if it's that Second Life offers people the opportunity to be their true selves, that people are not very significant to begin with.... more or less TV watchers and underachievers. I've been there for years... i've checked out thousands of sims!

I know what you mean. I've only managed to be one person's friend throughout SL. People just turn crazy eventually when they get comfortable with you. Oh and that friend is my RL friend lol. We only play for the lindens. Building and selling things. Any more than that leads to people being on a mute list

I'm cool with some people on there... One thing that REALLY bothers me is when I take the time to type out complete thoughts and they come at me with this "Huh?" bullshit. MFer! READ! If I can build, hold down 5 other convos on SL using 2 Avis you CERTAINLY can respond to what I am saying with something more intelligent than... "HUH?". I think 80% of the people on SL never get past the "poseball" stage which is why they are ALWAYS in a club somewhere making those damn noises. smh.

For the record, I have a mic and I have DJ'ed on SL for months among other things. Most people today just seem to be "airheads". Oh well...

pfft all you need is a 1000 dollar computer. lolz but yeah, even then SL lags
