I had the rechargeable battery pack for the Xbox 360 and after a few months it stopped holding any charge, my 3 year old ps3 controller is still going strong except I dropped it and broke the R1 button.

@RelativeBadger I dont have a PS3 but from the times ive played on a ps3 (in shops or round friends houses) the controller seems the same size as the PS2 & PS controllers, now ive just put measured my PS controller an my 360 controller and the 360's grips are 1.6cm longer than the PS controller and are much more chunkey but the widths are the same.
