Thanks alot. This car has been kicking my ass non stop. Right after this video, the tranny decided not to shift anymore. Great! before that, the motor ate 2 main bearings. Its non stop.

Wow man awesome. Im from india and I got one of there parked in the garage. It belonged to my grand dad I have never heard it fire up, its just collecting dust now since parts are hard to finde in my country for this car, any way I recently got interested in this project, though ill be happy just to get it running coz making it into a racer could kinda be impossible unless I import... How much do all the parts you mentioned come for?

I had probably 1500-2k $ in this motor. Most of that was in the machine work though. Still a fun car.

What did you do to turn it into a race engine? Do you have links to websites I can follow?

@KlankOntwerp Block is a 49 plymouth 218. Crank and rods from a 54' 230 to stroke it. .030 Egge pistons, balenced rotating assembly. Ported block with chevy valves. .480 lift cam. Milled head to raise compression, Modified Offy 2 carb with 2 Holly single barrels rated at 130 cfm each. Cast split manifolds. It was a wicked motor until it decided it didnt like how i drove it. Broke 2 pisons and spun 5 rod bearings. It'll live again some day.
