To be honest this video does the engine sound no justice at all,  through no fault of your own, i've tried recording my 95 rs and had the same problem, beautiful engine though no matter what anyone here says,

1:You don't have to buy iridium plugs. You simply buy platinums & reset your computer to compensate for the spark change.

2:What does Subaru's standing have anything to do with you trying to give them a bad name? EVERYONE has problems, not just Subaru.

1:LOL! EJ20s are awesome. They're pretty quick on their feet. You just have to learn how to drive them right. Chances are, you didn't know. And don't come at me with "well, I've owned the car for x amount of time" because there are people who have owned their cars for a long time & still don't know anything about them.

2:The boxer engine that Subaru uses is a better design than any I4 out there. I have had no issue working on them & they aren't as hard to service as you make them seem to be.
