@BostonGarden my definition of a solid tough guy is one who can play in more than just a game then get benched for 15 in a row. Someone who has at least a solid grasp of the game. Guys like Belak (when he pleayed for the leafs, could play wing or defense) Domi, Shawn Thornton, Neil, Carkner, etc. Guys who can actually play at least 10 games in a row without having to worry about them being god awful at hockey (janssen, mcgratton, peters, koci etc)

@buttkick22 Richter was a lousy player who bounced around from team to team
-
why'd u cut the tocchet fight?
-
Agreed & what also was cool back in those days the guys who got in the secondary fights did not get game misconducts...play on, the way it oughta be!

Typical Espo & Sam love fest, you would think Phil never played for the Big bad Bruins in the 1970's. He was such a homer as the Ranger color man, but so was his replacement...John Davidson.

yup.

richter didn't fight as much toward the end of his career but it wasn't because he wasn't one of the toughest guys in the league (was a solid hockey player too)

is that phil esposito doing the color commentary with sam rosen?
"what was a good hockey game earlier turned INTO A GREAT HOCKEY GAME" he should have said...
