You are correct. Modern Durids are more properly called "Neo-Druids", as in "New Druids". They aren't anything at all like the Druids of the past. When is the last time you saw a modern Druid have a sacred grove with wooden idols covered in the blood of animal sacrifices? LOL

I like Modern Druidry, but I think it's stupid to pretend they are the same as the original Druids.

Yes, that was pretty silly. The druidical incantation borrowed from Christian high magic, the sites like Stonehenge and Silbury that were old and forgotten by the time the first druids arrived, the general hippie-dippiness. The omission of mention that no one knows a damn thing about what the druids really preached or believed. (They wrote nothing down and no one asked them.)

But mainstream religions are pretty farcical too, when you examine their historical claims.

This is wonderful, I'm glad more people are learning about the Druids and how they hold the key to much of our past. Thanks
