B&W, 1956
This is part 2 of "Tornado!", the first tornado prepraredness film, set in the FICTIONAL town of Elmville. It's as corny as you'd expect, especially the commentary & music.
With the limited technology 52 years ago it was obviously difficult to forecast and track tornadoes, as you will hear in the narrator's overly-dramatic descriptions. Among other things during this time, tornadoes were thought to rotate at 500mph (Mach 1 is 761.5mph) and occur perhaps up to 200 times a year.
The Corn twister of '51 shows up for a cameo.

500 M.P.H? Bit of a slight hyperbole, isn't it?

If Dr. Fujita were alive today, i bet he would laugh at this.

Well, he probably saw it, seeing how it was made in 1956. I mean back then no one knew shit about tornadoes. So he probably laughed at it anyhow!
Sorry for the stupid approval setting on the comments, some of my videos are still under that setting because I was trying to filter out those stupid chain letters. All my twister vids are now back to automatic commenting.
