This is game of 5 of a back and forth series, in which the young inexperienced Kings led by rookie point guard Jason Williams and big men Chris Webber and Vlade Divac took a veteran Jazz team to the brink of elimination.

The series was tied 2-2, and the winner of this game would advance to take on the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Semifinals.
