  • aww westies are cute. I love my westie but he suffers from exma :(. But he is adorable

  • try putting a few squirts of fatty acids liquid, available at your local pet store, on their food each day. westies are notorious for skin allergies. fatty acids did wonders for our pups. if that doesn't work, you might also want to try feeding them Wellness brand fish and rice formula dog food (search google to find their website and then select the where to buy link at the top of their website). that has worked wonders for some of the rescues that were hairless when we got them.

  • i had to put my westie snoop last year i miss him so much had him 14 yrs how could anyone abuse westies or any animal do anything to have him back

  • sorry to hear about your baby. if you only knew how cruel people can be. working with the rescue has really opened my eyes to that fact. please consider adopting when you decide to get another Westie. if you aren't in our area, check out petfinder dot com to locate a westie rescue group in your area.

  • Before we bought our westie pup,MacDuff(he's now 2) we asked about the recues and were strongly discouraged by the woman who ran the rescue program ! She told us the ones they had were bad tempered and bit thier owners and would not make trustworthy pets ! The results of cruelty and ignorance on the part of the original owners I suppose ! ..Anyway, we adore our own. Thanks for this lovely video.

  • Wow, I'm surprised the person running a rescue would say something like that. While some dogs do need more time to adjust, most of the dogs in our rescue are very well tempered. We do have to make sure that each goes to the right home. But rarely have we run across a dog that is so agressive that we don't feel comfortable placing it in a new home. Please consider a rescue for your next pup. Most rescues will take the dog back if it doesn't get along with the new family.
