Solar System: Earth

Our home planet Earth is the third planet from the sun and orbits the sun every 365.3 days. Earth, the largest of the inner planets with its large oceans and various land masses, is the only planet (as far as we presently know) that supports life, but the search is still on. Earth is also the first of the inner planets to have a moon. Other planets are richer in moons. According to present knowledge, Mars has two moons, Jupiter has 63 moons, Saturn 59 moons, Uranus has 27, Neptune has 13, and Pluto has 3. The music is from Igor Stravinsky's "Sacred Spring" ballet, "Le Sacre du printemps." This is Part One, "Adoration of the Earth."
