  • Bh3 is an ugly computer move. I don't like this line of the Nimzo. I don't like classical dutch structures where you give up the dark square bishop. Especially if you play a Q-side finachetto. Too easy to have very weak central pawns. C pawn is weak, if you move d6 then you have problems on e6. Therefore I don't like b6 either. I lean toward Ilyin-Genevsky structures and like to play for e5 but I don't play many people over 2300. LOL Maybe the Nimzo Indian is now refuted!!!

  • @TheBigGuppy Yes maybe "it all depends on the position" means that sometimes aesthetics go out of the window. Bh3 does seem strange looking but I guess functionally effective.

  • Great video, may I ask which chess program you use?

  • @bigfriki My preference is Chessbase Light right now - but you can use any UCI interface if you want to use a UCI engine like Houdini or Rybka.

  • @ulujm When it shows a positive # like (+1.00) or just (1.00) it means white has a 1 pawn advantage. If it shows (-1.00) black has a pawn advantage. When it shows a decimal it means the advantage is less than a pawn, when it shows a larger number it means the advantage is that much greater (or if it is decreasing to like (-3.00) a lesser # if black has an increasing advantage. When is shows #2 or M2 it means a check mate is possible in the number of moves following the # or M.

  • @TheBigGuppy

I do not agree with you.

  • Kamil Miton commented recently: It should be forbidden for Carlsen to play chess - he is to good

  • @realCevra But then, wasn't it kasparov who said that somehow it's always the best players who have the best luck?

  • can u plz go on my channel quickly to get more veiws than my sister lol

  • thanks for the nice games and commentary, are this engines for free?

  • Strong (and entertaining) analysis. Thank you.

  • This was Ivanchuks comment after the match: "There's this theory of Einstein, of relativity, and there was once a scientific who would explain this theory to a crowd of people. Before starting, he said: "You'll have to excuse me, cause it will be very difficult for me to explain this theory to you, since I haven't understood it yet myself". This is how I feel right now about my game." -(Audience laughing)-

  • @KC, can you please upload the Aronian v Anand game of the same round? It beats me how a world champion could get crushed in 25 moves without making an obvious mistake (as per the computer), certainly your analysis will be quite helpful there!

  • Subscribe to Kingscrusher channel it's full of stars!

  • this was neither genius nor good preperation, it was pure luck.

carlsen admitted he didn't see the queen sacrifice (rather its consequences) and was very lucky that nh6+ (18:15) worked, bc otherwise the position might be a lost one.

  • finally you got houdini 2! I think i mentioned it a long long time ago...

  • @viharsarok Oh no, the other bishop is also there. Sorry.

  • Nf7 wouldn't win the queen just the exchange (because of Rxf7 and then Bxf7).

  • i would never have seen bh3, but once the move is actually chosen i can see the reasons behind it. it just isnt that good on g2 because black has that diagonal already.

  • so when you run the engine can you explain what the number means. does (-xxx) is good for balck and (+xxx) good for white? also how to you add all those arrows

  • Yes..something like rocketscience. Just like Rocket O' Sullivan, except this rocket is not from Russia. :D Again I was eating my nails off not knowing what threats he had in the position, until an Expert shows me how Ivanchuk had to chose between two ways being eaten up. Good work !! (Y)

  • wow... preparation wins game

  • Any commentary on the Nakamura time control controversy at Bilbao? Rumors are that a referee or tournament functionary indicated Naka had reached the time control in the game with Vilejo (sp?) so Naka slowed down, when he needed to make one more move to reach time control. Losing a winning position! Not very sporting it seems, but proving the "trust no one" rule once again.

  • Nh6+ was a key move in this game. I wonder how Magnus would have played against so many pieces with an enemy king protected behind the g- and h-pawn.

    Amazing game, thanks again!

  • when does your season start?

  • 17:20, what if black queen moves to h5?

  • Incredible game and your comment made it understandable, thanks for share!
