All you need to do to cut down the music is click on it and drag , But then you must adjust the volume , i do recommend you use adobe sound-booth but you can do it with this program too.

@Rainfur8 i believe you right click on you clip, slect spped/duration from the pop-up menu and increase/decrease percentage 200% i assumw is 2x speed
