This is video I captured while driving around Detroit. It doesn't represent the incredible progress being made in many parts of the city. Rather, I focused on forgotten and neglected parts of the city.

So heartbreaking. Once the wealthiest city in the USA, a timber town that was transported into a Golden Age with the coming of the automobile. It's like watching a loved one dying and knowing that there is nothing, NOTHING you can do to save them.

I live near Detroit, I work and go to school there. I'm happy to say that it has been getting better since this video was shot, especially in the downtown and midtown areas. The outlying neighborhoods are still really bad, but at least there is some glimmer of hope. The attitudes displayed on this wall are the reason that the city is in the state is in now. Stop arguing about dumb shit and get out and change what you don't like about the world! God bless Detroit!
