An excerpt from a recent Spoken Word performance by John Trudell in Portland Oregon. This most recent Tour by Trudell is a benefit for the Give Love Give Life Campaign, emphasizing the need for Ovarian Cancer Research and National Health Care for Women and Children.

John spoke for about 9 minutes about this campaign and how we can use our intelligence to achieve National Health Care for Women and Children.

Trudell states that if "those that get it" can talk to 10 people and they can talk to 10 people, we can have an impact before the 2008 election. If you wish, you can go to the Give Love Give Life website and become on of those that get it, and participate in this important work.

Quoting John Trudell:

"We are human beings. It is time for us to recognize that we are human beings.

As human beings, we have intelligence and it is through this intelligence that we manifest our power.

As human beings, how we use our intelligence to perceive reality dictates how we will use the power of our intelligence.

As human beings, we have a responsibility to use the power of our intelligence clearly and coherently.

As human beings, we find ourselves in a dimensional reality where we feel powerless to deal with the various situations we find ourselves in.

As human beings, it is time to take responsibility for the power of our intelligence and use the power of our intelligence to think clearly and coherently and create solutions to the problems we are confronted with.

Simply put, as human beings, we are asking the human beings to think.

Give love give life is oriented towards recognizing, acknowledging and respecting the feminine part of life.

The women in our lives?grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, aunts, nieces and cousins?are what make us whole as human beings.

They are the life bringers, physically and spiritually carrying us from the past, through the present and into the future.

To show appreciation and thankfulness to the creator it is important to protect the sacred feminine."

  • why are there empty seats back there?

  • That is the choir loft of the church behind him in the video. People are generally not seated there on the stage.

  • I am an ovarian cancer survivor, not many of us make it. .The only blood test, is notoriously inaccurate.,said I didn't have it, when I did! My oncologist Dr, Richard is a warrior, yes John there is a horrid problem in women's health care!!

  • Can anyone help me find his spoken word poem I once heard called, I think, " A disease called loneliness?" I heard it on KPFK FM in March of 1992/3?

  • Found myself here again.. and wonderful words....

"Not about can we or cant we.. its about will we or wont we"

Everybody should hear that phrase and reflect on its power.

  • One of the few Human Beings that speaks sense on the planet and the issues facing us as a race, at a time when we are rapidly loosing the understanding of what it is being human.
